Experience in translation:

Being in charge of the foundation or project Fabro
(www.corneliofabro.org), for the last 5 years (2000-2005), among
other things it was in charge of translations, because this work
implied translating books from this great Italian philosopher in
several languages. On the other hand, according to the modern use,
we needed to translate all Fabro’s quotations. He used to make
them in all the most important western languages (Italian his
mother tongue, Latin, Greek, German, French, English, Spanish and
Portuguese). It was a truly complicated work, but it was made in
team, otherwise it should be impossible. My job consisted in
translations of pieces of texts, not complete works, because this
way was required. Anyway I have acquired the suitable training for
    translation.

Recently:

o Manual of the the Christian Initiation of Adults, Diocese of Detroit.
o Collaboration with the magazine Salesiana of USA.
  o Also several technical translations.

Specific formation in translation of texts

One of my specific fields, philosophy, trained me in this sort of
work. I am specialized in Systematic Philosophy at the Gregorian
University of Rome with Lexicographical Orientation. This implies
that my specific field in Philosophy is The Philosophy of the
Language and in particular Lexicography, which is a science tha
deals with the meaning of words and all the associated techniques
to determine it. To sum up, it is the science of making dictionaries:
determining structures, at a philosophical level, and not simply
making a list of words. This studies gave me an enormous training
in identifying nuances and searching the most correct version of
translation from a language to an other, in other words, it consists
of finding the right word, the one that has the most suitable
semantic constellation in the source language with the target
    language.

Expertise:

o Specializes in Religion, Psychology, Philosophy, Theology and
     Linguistics.
